Welcome to my Impact website!!

This is a project for my Advanced English Seminar class, where we pick a topic or interest and create a website on it. My topic is philosophical sickness, you can learn more about what that means and why I chose it on the purpose page.

Part of this assignment is to consume media in multiple formats, so not just books but movies, music, art, and more! These are called inputs. We then must create an output, which can be anything as long as it loosely pertains to its corresponding input.

If you have anything you want to say, type it out in this Google Doc, and I will read it! You can ask questions, point out something you liked, something that you think needs to be worked on, or just tell me your thoughts on anything. Obviously don't say anything weird or alter comments that arent yours...

Reflection

Most of the things I watched/read were things I was previously interested in, and I don't think my perspective was really blown up by anything… so in terms of exposure, this project didn't really help me. That's not to say I hated doing it. While yes, I was planning to read Notes from Underground, I've been planning to read it since 8th grade. Yes, I was planning on putting all my thoughts about Perverts into one physical place, but it was probably never going to happen. The fact that this was a real assignment for a real grade helped me overcome that sort of paralysis. I definitely didn't use my time wisely, and I wish I had made more outputs (or just the separate pages for more media). This is obviously my fault….. I got the required stuff out of the way, but I didn't go much further. That doesn't mean I can't create something for My Year of Rest and Relaxation in the future, though. I don’t really think I've done anything special with this project, it's just alright… but oh well, who needs pride!
